Ways differ from fixed lines
A fixed-payline game evaluates designated paths. A ways game evaluates qualifying combinations of symbol positions according to its own direction and adjacency rules. The word ways should not be silently replaced with paylines in a facts table.
Why 1,024 appears in the Super Ace family
For an illustrative five-reel layout with four eligible positions on every reel, 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 equals 1,024 position combinations. That arithmetic explains a possible layout count, not the probability of any symbol combination.
The provider lists 1,024 ways for four of the reviewed editions and 2,000 for Joker. Use the actual rules to confirm the eligible positions rather than deriving Joker’s geometry from a thumbnail.
Why more ways is not more expected money
The frequency of symbols, award values and bonus events influence the model. A larger set of positions can coexist with different payouts and probabilities. Dividing 2,000 by 1,024 does not produce an improvement in winning odds.
How to record a useful comparison
Keep the exact ways figure, source and edition together. Then compare the feature concept separately. This avoids turning a clear structural fact into an unsupported claim about performance.
